EdUSA Albania participated at the Albanian Book Fair November 12-16, 2014

November 12 – 16, 2014
Albanian Book Fair is a great cultural event where the publishing houses promote their new publications. It is the most visited fair to be organized in Albania, and it has visitors from different ages.

EducationUSA Advisers have been given information for 5 days in a row, at the U.S. Embassy Albania stand, about the applications procedures to study in the U.S. During the event, we have provided information on main issues relevant to the public, i.e.: finding the appropriate studying institutions in USA, main admission requirements for a particular field of study, the list of testing requirements, possible sources for financial assistance, various application procedures, etc. but also about the International Students Week, and specially about November 19, 2014, the EducationUSA-College Week Live virtual Fair. Many students seemed to be interested to take part in this event.

Many students and parents came at our stand at the Book Fair and met EducationUSA advisers to receive first hand, free, and unbiased information about:

o how to define study objectives and find appropriate institutions;
o admissions requirements for study in a particular field;
o testing requirements (TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, SAT, GED, ACT, etc.);
o possible sources of financial assistance;
o application procedures;
o scholarship opportunities.
o J. William Fulbright, Hubert H. Humphrey, and other exchange programs

EdUSA Albania thanks the volunteer staff: Diantina Zuna, Olta Myslimi, and Patricia Myslimi, for providing information for the service’s center and taking contacts of the potential interested students.
