Westminster College launches on September 2013 the EducationUSA Regional Educational Advisors Scholarship

Westminster College offered two renewable scholarships for entering freshmen students of 23 Southeast Europe/Central Asia advising centers:  The first place winner would receive a full tuition scholarship each academic year. The second place winner would receive a $22,000 scholarship each academic year.

The EducationUSA Advising Center in Albania, from 14 interested students selected Armora Rama from Qemal Stafa High School in Tirana. The application deadline was February 1, 2014 and the first step was sending to the above institution the nomination letter by adviser Jonida Lamaj.

Armora Rama fulfilled all the academic requirements, language proficiency, quality of student writing and extracurricular activities, and on March 11, 2014 she received the official scholarship letter by giving her the first place winner.
The applicant pool was extremely competitive and the selection committee was in the unenviable position of selecting only one finalist from a pool of very accomplished candidates.

Armora wan a full tuition award renewable for up to four years. In recognizing exceptional achievement, the committee evaluated the level of achievement, depth of involvement, quality of contribution, recommendations, personal statements, and the potential to succeed at Westminster College.

Congratulation Armora and many thanks to Westminster College for the great opportunity that is giving to the Albanian students.
