Burse e plote studimi nga Fairleigh Dickinson University

Overview:

Fairleigh Dickinson University's Presidential Scholarships are full-tuition scholarships for first-time undergraduate students which recognize exceptional academic performance. Scholarships are renewable for four years. Nomination by a Guidance Counselor or EducationUSA Advisor is required.

Deadline:

Spring/January 2015: November 1, 2014
Fall/August 2015: January 15, 2015

The scholarship nomination form and ALL required application documents must be received by the deadline for each semester.

Scholarship Criteria:

Students must meet all of the following criteria to be considered for this selective award:

SAT composite score of 1300 or above (Math plus Critical Reading only) out of 1600; or ACT score of 29 or above
GPA of 3.5 or above
Enroll in Spring 2015 or Fall 2015 as a first-time, full-time residential freshman (first year undergraduate/bachelor's degree student) at FDU’s Florham Campus or Metropolitan Campus
On-campus housing is required for the duration of study

Please note: The selection process is highly competitive, therefore not all students who meet the above criteria will receive the Presidential Scholarship. However, applicants who do not meet the deadline and/or who are not selected to receive the Presidential Scholarship will still be automatically considered for our Col. Fairleigh Dickinson scholarships which are valued between $11,000-$30,000 per year.

Application Procedure:

Students must be nominated by their guidance counselor or by an official EducationUSA advisor to be considered for this award. The form can be downloaded here.

The counselor nomination form should accompany the student's admission documents. To print a list of required documents to complete the application, please go to www.fdu.edu/intldocs and select "Undergraduate Applicant Checklist". The following documents are required to complete the application:

FDU application for international students and Americans abroad
FDU scholarship application
Official SAT or ACT scores, sent directly to us from the testing company (1300 SAT CR + Math or 29 ACT minimum)
Official high school/secondary transcripts and any national examination results
2 letters of recommendation
Photocopy of passport face page
Official bank statement, dated within the last 6 months on official bank letterhead (student visa applicants)*
An affidavit of support (student visa applicants)

*Since on-campus residence for four years is a requirement for recipients of this scholarship, please advise nominees that the estimated cost of housing, fees, insurance and other expenses will be approximately $17,000 for the first year. Nominees who are not U.S. citizens must submit proof of ability to pay. Students who are not selected for the Presidential Scholarship but receive a Col. FDU scholarship would need to show additional funding.

Guidance counselors at registered schools may submit documents to FDU via Docufide. Those without Docufide access should mail all documents to the university.

Notification Process:

Students selected to receive the Presidential Scholarship will be notified by late November for the spring term or late February for the fall term.
